Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival, Transfer to Bukit Lawang & Hotel

Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) or your hotel in Medan, our private driver will welcome you and transfer you to Bukit Lawang.

Enjoy a scenic 3–4 hour drive through North Sumatra’s countryside, passing traditional villages, rubber plantations, palm oil estates, and beautiful tropical landscapes.

After arriving in Bukit Lawang, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing. Walk around the peaceful riverside village, enjoy the Bohorok River, or visit nearby cafés.

In the evening, your trekking guide will meet you for a briefing about the upcoming jungle adventure, including safety information and trekking preparation.

Day 2 – Jungle Trekking Day 1

After breakfast (not included), meet your licensed jungle guide and begin your adventure into Gunung Leuser National Park.

The trek starts through lush rainforest where you’ll search for wild Sumatran orangutans while learning about the incredible biodiversity of this UNESCO-recognized ecosystem.

Along the way, you may encounter Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, Hornbills, Monitor Lizards, Giant Squirrels, and many colorful tropical birds.

Around midday, enjoy a delicious lunch prepared in the rainforest before continuing deeper into the jungle.

In the afternoon, arrive at your riverside campsite where you can relax, swim, and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner before spending your first night camping beneath the stars.

Day 3 – Jungle Trekking Day 2
