👣 What You Will Experience
On this extended trek, you will cover a greater distance and explore areas of the jungle rarely visited by others. You’ll trek through dense rainforest, cross small rivers, climb hills, and pass through untouched valleys. With more time in the jungle, you have the best chance of encountering wild orangutans, gibbons, siamangs, hornbills, peacocks, monitor lizards, Thomas leaf monkeys, and a wide variety of birdlife.
Each day, you will trek for several hours, stopping to enjoy fresh fruits and a simple jungle lunch prepared by your guides. In the afternoons, you will arrive at your jungle campsite, always located near a river or waterfall. Here, you can swim in crystal-clear jungle pools, relax, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
In the evenings, your guides will cook delicious Indonesian meals, and at night you will sleep in a tent with mosquito nets, listening to the unique sounds of the rainforest.
Spending several days in the jungle allows you to really disconnect from the outside world and feel the rhythm of nature. By day four, you will feel at home in the rainforest, moving with ease through the trails and recognizing the calls of different animals.
On the final day, after breakfast, you will begin the trek back toward Bukit Lawang. The adventure ends with the choice of walking back or enjoying an exciting tubing ride down the Bohorok River — a refreshing and fun way to finish your jungle expedition.
